I bet people who don't play magic assume red here is like "elemental fire magic" and white is just "holy" like in JRPG logic but in magic the gathering, yes white *encompasses* goodliness and red *encompasses* fire but that's just because white is the magic of order and law while red is the magic of chaos and disobedience. She became an anti establishment anarchist.
SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE (2023)
Okay normally I wouldn’t reblog something like this so soon after the movie came out but I HAVE to tell y’all about this scene
According to Lord and Miller, this scene was an extremely late addition to the movie. As in, “they-had-already-released-the-first-trailer” late.
And the reason that is relevant is because a fan named Preston Mutanga, with his spare time, recreated the entire trailer in LEGO stop motion animation and posted it online after it came out.
Lord and Miller saw the perfect recreation of their trailer, thought it was brilliant, and WROTE IN A LEGO UNIVERSE SCENE in order to get this kid some screen time on one of the biggest animated films ever released.
Mind you, Lord and Miller directed and made THE LEGO MOVIE. And they thought this kid’s trailer was so incredible that instead of making a Lego scene themselves, which they very well could have, they brought him in to work on it.
So while you are watching this movie, know that an extremely cool 14-year-old is telling his friends that he got to personally animate one of the funniest jokes in one of the biggest movies ever made.
I just think that’s in-fucking-credible.

I think that is exactly the brand that dropout is maintaining.
They have an image of being indie, and friendly, and chaotic, and not like other corporations.
Instead of trying to fuck over customers (and talent), their business plan is to be a business that is known for not fucking over people, and letting the people come to them because of that.
Dropout is like your negibor next door, if that negibor had 15 parrots and neon colored everything.
Oh ok. Childhood memory unlocked.
When i was a little kid, i had a "4d puzzle" of new york city.
You built the cardboard jigsaw base, then the foam island, and then you had plastic buildings and bridges.
And it had instructions to place the buildings in chronological order, as well as a timeline, hence "4d".
And i just fucking remembered. In 2001 on the timeline a step was "remove buildings #xx and #xy (World Trade Centers)" with no other explanation.
And as a kid i had no clue what that meant, but looking back on it my puzzle really just told me "alright kid, do a 9/11" and i, age 5, went along with it.
